Disclaimer

QuickSnap is early software, and this website gives general information. Please read the points below before you rely on either.
Preview software, provided as is
The QuickSnap installers are preview builds. They are unsigned, lightly tested, and may contain bugs. The Windows build has been tried on Windows 10 only; the Mac and Linux builds have not been run on those systems. You use QuickSnap at your own risk, and you should not rely on it for anything where a failure would cause serious loss.
To the fullest extent the law allows, QuickSnap is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, reliability or non-infringement.
Downloading safely
- Download installers only from the links on this site or from the official releases page on GitHub.
- Check each file against its published SHA-256 checksum before you run it.
- Because the installers are unsigned, Windows and macOS will show a warning. That warning is expected, and it also appears for files that are not ours, so the checksum is your check.
Screenshots, privacy and what you share
You are responsible for what you capture, save and share. Screenshots can contain personal, confidential or sensitive information, including other people’s. Blur and pixelate are visual effects and are not secure; they may not fully hide small or short text. Use solid redaction to cover information that must not be seen, and open and check the saved image before you send it. See our guide on hiding sensitive information in a screenshot.
We are not responsible for information you disclose through screenshots you take or share, or for copies of them kept by other software on your computer (such as clipboard history or cloud sync).
Information on this website
The guides and descriptions on this site are general information, written in good faith. Keyboard shortcuts and menus differ between versions of Windows, macOS and Linux desktops and change over time, so a shortcut we describe may not work on your system. Nothing here is legal, security, compliance or professional advice. Statements about features say whether they work today, are in development, or are only planned; planned features are not promises and may never be released.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage, including lost data, lost profits or indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of, or inability to use, QuickSnap or this website. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.
Third parties and trademarks
This site links to and relies on services run by others, such as GitHub, Vercel and Google. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices. Windows and Microsoft, macOS and Apple, Linux, Google, GitHub and Vercel, and other names mentioned, are trademarks of their respective owners. QuickSnap is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.
Changes
We may change, suspend or withdraw the website, the downloads or any feature at any time, and may update this disclaimer. How the website handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
